He held previous appointments at Oxford University, Maastricht University and UNU-WIDER. Wim’s interest is in the relationship of technological innovation and entrepreneurship with sustainable development. He has contributed extensively to the work of global development organisations, including a chapter to UNIDO’s 2016 Industrial Development Report on the role of technology and innovation in inclusive and sustainable development.
