Diego Masera

Diego Masera is Deputy Director, Department of Programmes, Partnerships and Field Integration, and Chief of the Latin America and the Caribbean Division at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Diego Masera is in charge of the development and strengthening of partnerships with governments and private sector, leveraging financial resources through joint programmes and technical cooperation. He is responsible for the introduction of innovative results-based management tools based on annual business plans in each of UNIDO’s Field Offices and the articulation of UNIDO’s work in the Regions. Masera has more than 20 years’ experience in the promotion of Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) worldwide having implemented programmes and projects in more than 50 countries. He holds a PhD on sustainable Industrial development and is the author of several books on the subject.
