Christopher Foster is a lecturer at the Global Development Institute (GDI) at the University of Manchester in the UK. His research work sits at the intersection of digital technologies and analysis of the globalisation of production. His recent research has particularly explored the “digitalisation” of firms in the global south and the implications for policy and practice. Chris has a PhD from the University of Manchester and has previously worked at the University of Oxford and the University of Sheffield. His research has been published in journals including Economic Geography, the Journal of Development Studies and the Journal of Information Technology.
